In addition to our growing charging network, Aerovolt also offers
The Squadron Club with both electric and light sport aircraft available for hire and training. We initially have 2 light sport aircraft based at Goodwood Aerodrome operated by Aerovolt, and an electric aircraft operated by Devon & Somerset Flight Training at Dunkeswell Aerodrome. Aerovolt intends to expand The Squadron Club to a number of airfields.
If you're a pilot with a full PPL, LAPL or PPL(M) license, or would like to look at training, simply reach out to
fly@aerovolt.co.uk. You'll be given an invite code to register on Squadron. You'll then to be able to reach out to group instructors who will be able to help you arrange everything.
At Goodwood Aerodrome, we operate 2 light sport aircraft. An Ikarus C42 and a Eurofox. There is a club house for instructor and member use which is soon to be upgraded.
Both aircraft are charged at £120 per hour, with a hobbs discount. All landings and fuel is included in the hourly rate, including circuits. Instructor rates start at £30 per hour.
Our electric aircraft (Pipistrel Velis Electro) is managed by
Devon & Somerset Flight Training. They look after all training and private hire opportunities.

How do I use Aerovolt chargers? |
+ |
You will be issued with an RFID card in order to use the chargers. In time you will able to activate a charge from your mobile phone as well. You simply plug in the aircraft and tap your card on the RFID reader on the charger. It will beep, check authorisation, and then give you the option to fast charge on the screen. Press this and it will start charging. You can also cancel the charge at any time by tapping cancel on the screen. You will receive updates on your mobile phone during the charging process.
When will there be even more chargers? |
+ |
Aerovolt are initially installing 24 chargers at airfields around the UK over a 2 year period. You will see more charging spots appear on the live access map over time.
