AEROVOLT AND H55
Thu 23rd January 2025 - 10:23

We are incredibly excited about our new partnership with H55, and to be part of the upcoming coast to coast USA tour!

We met with H55 in 2024 to discuss their new aircraft and how we could collaborate together. A key element was we wanted to make sure that the next generation of electric training aircraft could become a zero compromise business decision for customers. Sustainability reasons alone are not enough. With upcoming Avgas supply issues, worn out aging aircraft with extortionate maintenance costs, increased airport noise abatements coupled with soaring demand for airline pilots, switching to electric training will be a no brainer.

However, a two aircraft solution (one electric, one piston) in order to complete a full PPL end to end, with the electric aircraft restricted to circuits only, is a non starter. Particularly for what will be the first CS-23 certified electric aircraft available. It MUST represent a significant step change. But in order to realise that, the Aerovolt network is needed.

Aerovolt has a significant (and growing) pipeline of sites in multiple US states. We have hundreds of airport sites across the world in development, UK, Europe, USA and Australia, with many signed to join the network. Everywhere from large regional airports, busy GA hubs, grass strips and also Vertiports.

We will also be unveiling our new bespoke charging solution exclusive to Aerovolt on the USA tour (more details on that to be announced soon). Alongside demonstrating our Squadron software to US pilots for the first time.

Although Aerovolt does not offer our own PPL training (only NPPL at the Squadron club) we will be deploying two B23 Energic aircraft across our UK network in 2026. With one aircraft based and managed by Devon and Somerset Flight Training, the other at Goodwood Aerodrome. Enabling the first ever FULL end to end electric PPL flight training available in the UK.

Stay tuned for some exciting announcements in 2025.
